The Gilmer Road House is a family restaurant located in Hawthorn Woods, Illinois. The Gilmer is known for it's burgers, ribs, and pizza, but sports a full service restaurant and bar.
The attitude of the staff is friendly and the food is excellent. The Gilmer serves a neighborhood crowd who have been coming here for years. It makes a great 19th hole to arrive to after visiting one of the area's many surrounding golf courses.
The Gilmer also serves a great breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

The Gilmer Road House has the best thin crust pizza we have ever enjoyed in the area. We also like to visit on the weekends for breakfast. The food is excellent and the price is more than right. It is a family owned place and we like supporting businesses like that.
